Event Details

1:00 pm Aug 28 Denver’s Civic Center Park

PARADE! on the 16th Street Mall

The primary purposes of the GoTopless Day parade are to

[1] raise awareness that Denver is one of many US cities that allow topless equality and more importantly,

[2] to desexualize public perception of female toplessness, with the intent to spawn individuals, small groups, and clubs practicing non-sexual co-ed toplessness in same contexts where men’s toplessness is accepted.

Current plan:

* A quiet meet-up at Civic Center park (with people arriving early if they wish to be bodypainted),

* a parade on the 16th Street Mall,

* Regrouping at the park for rest, socializing, and group photos.

For those up for a top-free day but not up for the parade, feel free to chill in the park during the march.

Denver Police Dept has stated that as long as nobody acts in a sexual manner, solicits tips, or is intentionally disruptive, we are free to peacefully partake in topless equality.

This is a public event, so expect bystander cell phones. We’ve also included professional photographers to document the event. Last year, local TV stations did interviews too.

Partcipants are free to cover according to their own comfort levels. Topless, bodypainted, bikinis, pasties, or fully clothed –it’s up to you. 🙂

Other events will be occuring in Denver on the same day, so plan an extra hour for parking, grabbing food & drinks, and reaching the event. Don’t forget sunscreen! 🙂 *

* If you plan to be painted, bring a spray sunscreen instead of lotion, so you can apply it after being painted. (Y)

Parking is located at various places up and down the 16th Street Mall, and the *free* Mall Shuttle’s route ends within walking distance of Civic Center Park.
