Hilo, Hawai'i, August 6 Celebration

August 6 is a day all humanity is to remember, as it was the day in 1945 when the USA dropped two nuclear bombs on civilians in two Japanese cities.

On this day, it was an indication to  the Elohim-creators that humanity had reached a level of science capable of self-destruction.  August 6 represents an important event in the history of mankind, and one that heralded the beginning of a new age of scientific progress and development. For Raelians, August 6th also represents the start of a new calendar year and this year we commemorate the start of the 72^nd year after Hiroshima (a. H.)  with world-wide events and celebrations.

August 6^th is also one of the four designated holidays set aside each year specifically for those who would like to become more actively involved with the Raelian Movement. This baptism-like ceremony takes place at exactly at 3 PM (local time) and is open to anyone who shares our basic philosophical principles and overall mission to make our planet a better for all of its inhabitants.
